Due to travel conditions for both the students and attendees, NAIOP has to cancel this event.
The universities put a lot of work into designing their proposals and presentations. NAIOP will be discussing possibilities on how to utilize the great efforts of the student teams.
The 16th annual University Challenge is here and April 11 is the date to see the next round of exceptional talent about to enter our market.
Three finalists from the five competing universities will present their concept for the Snelling-Midway redevelopment surrounding Allianz Field in St. Paul. This active site is the subject of much speculation in the market, so come and see what these student teams propose for the best use.
Be there to support the talented professionals entering the market. It’s going to be a great competition!
The Site
NAIOP is partnering with Mortenson on the Snelling-Midway redevelopment surrounding Allianz Field in St. Paul for this year’s competition. The Snelling-Midway property is owned by an investor group led by Richard Birdoff of RD Management and Bill McGuire of the Minnesota United soccer team.
The site includes 12.1 acres of developable land surrounding the new soccer stadium. The approved master plan for the site will provide the teams with the guiding principles to be used in their proposals.
