Get smarter with NAIOP

NAIOP is bringing Kevin Depew, RSM’s deputy chief economist and author of its Middle Market Business Index, in from New York for insights on the economic risks and opportunities that commercial real estate should be considering. The middle market index that Kevin authors is a vital indicator of the U.S. economy, as it represents more than 200,000 companies, 40 million jobs and one-third of private sector gross receipts.

Kevin’s discussion will include:

  • The macroeconomic market and the factors that will impact us this year.
  • Expected changes in the financial environment and how that will affect the consumer.
  • The upcoming impact from the national tax cuts.
  • How commercial real estate should be factoring housing, manufacturing and NAFTA into its strategies.

Kevin Depew is the deputy chief economist for RSM US LLP and an Emmy Award-winning writer and producer. In a prior position, Kevin helped create the Bloomberg Brief economics newsletter. His experience has included collaborating with economists globally and as an editor with national media outlets.
