Get smarter with NAIOP

A fresh look at a hot topic, NAIOP presents insights from the forthcoming Research Foundation report, Mapping Capital Flows to and Through the CRE Industry

Report author David Funk of Roosevelt University (Chicago) will share the results of the study, which examined debt and equity sources in determining how much capital is being channeled toward commercial real estate and included a mapping of assets between classes and the changes in asset sizes.

Mark Cinquina of PNC Real Estate (Cincinnati), Richard Student of United Properties, and Brad Schafer of Schafer Richardson will debate the sources of capital and the placement of capital in a large debt and equity framework. Mark, Richard and Brad will share what they are doing and what they anticipate the future to bring from the banker and developer points of view.

Topics:
  • The sources and dynamics of capital
  • Capital costs, demographic and economic impacts
  • Banks and developers expectations on the sourcing and placement of capital
  • The match-up of “property types seeking capital” versus “capital seeking a property type”
