Mentorship Happy Hour with Jim Vitt
Jim Vitt joined Associated in August 2010 as Vice President & Relationship Manager and was promoted to the Market Manager for the Minnesota Commercial Real Estate team in 2014. He is responsible for all aspects of the commercial real estate portfolio including strategic leadership, marketing, and credit quality as well as providing a satisfactory return to the bank.
Vitt brings 30 plus years of commercial real estate finance experience to Associated. He previously held the position of Managing Director of a boutique Commercial Real Estate Development Company where he was responsible for originating and structuring traditional build-to-suit and multi-tenant retail development projects as well as structuring multiple sale leaseback transactions. Before that, Vitt served as Portfolio Manager and Lending Officer, Commercial Real Estate, at the former Richfield/M&I Bank (now BMO Harris Bank) where he was responsible for the origination and structuring of secured real estate loans.
Vitt holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Saint Thomas, where he majored in Economics and minored in Business Administration and French. He is currently a member of the Minnesota Shopping Center Association, NAIOP, Urban Land Institute and the Twin Cities Housing Alliance. He also serves on the board of directors for 2 non-profit organizations: HIRED and Restart MN, Inc.
