Wade Lau, President & CEO
As President and Chief Executive Officer, Wade oversees all aspects of Founders Properties’ operations and is responsible for setting the firm’s strategic direction. He is a member of the firm’s Board of Managers, Management Committee and Investment Committee. Wade has over 35 years of diversified commercial real estate experience including acquisitions, dispositions, development and asset management. Before the formation of Founders Properties, Wade was Vice President of Asset Management for Opus Properties, which he joined in 1999. Prior to that, he led the central region for CB Richard Ellis. He began his career at Norwest Bank in their commercial real estate group.
Wade holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Harvard College and a Master of Business Administration, with honors, from Harvard Business School. Wade was a four-year letter winner on the men’s Harvard Varsity Hockey Team. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). He is a Board Member of Opus Holding, LLC, Adler Trust Company and Common Bond Communities.
Kim Hofstede, Managing Director, Portfolio Management
Kim is responsible for portfolio management and leads dispositions. As a member of the firm’s Management Committee, she plays an active role in strategic planning. Since joining Founders in 2016, Kim has completed over $1.5 billion in property dispositions and financings. Prior to joining Founders, she was a Vice President at Carlson Real Estate Company where she was involved in acquisitions, dispositions and asset management. Kim has twenty years of real estate investment experience.
Kim earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association (WREAA) and a past President and current member of the NAIOP Minnesota Chapter. She was recognized by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal as a 40 under 40 Honoree in 2020.
