The Competition
This year is NAIOP Minnesota’s 13th annual University Challenge, where universities compete to win the best conceptual plan for a site in the Twin Cities.
Six student teams will present their concepts for the highest and best use of the site to the judges. At the 4 pm program, the three finalists will then present to the NAIOP audience and the 2016 champion will be crowned.
The Site: Pentagon Park
This year’s site is one of the most significant redevelopment projects to date: Hillcrest's iconic Pentagon Park site* at the intersection of 100 & 494.
The site is five parcels totaling 12.12 acres (527,843 SF) and includes access to nearly unlimited area amenities, restaurants, shops and businesses. Its close proximity to metro transit and placement within the city of Edina means a highly-connected and desirable work destination.
* Pentagon Park, the site's original name from the 1960s, was renamed
The Link in 2015. |
