NAIOP recognizes 2019 Volunteers of the Year

October 10, 2019

NAIOP Minnesota has announced Mike Ohmes and Mike Salmen as co-recipients of the 2019 Volunteer of the Year Award. This award recognizes the tradition of high quality activities made possible through the time and talents of NAIOP’s volunteers.

With nominations coming from his fellow members, Mike Ohmes, managing principal at Cushman & Wakefield, and Mike Salmen, managing principal at Transwestern, were recognized for their many contributions to NAIOP Minnesota. Each are active NAIOP members for more than 20 years and are strong advocates for getting involved.

When a need arose to contact members to participate in NAIOP's Penny-Per-Square-Foot Fund initiative, Mike Salmen and Mike Ohmes volunteered to lead a task force and contacted over 40 member companies. Their task force successfully increased these voluntary contributions, which fund the chapter’s public policy activities.

On behalf of NAIOP members, thank you Mike & Mike!
